My name is Alexander Schon, and soccer has been part of my life since I was a kid. My love for the game started with my older brother’s team. From being a ball boy to playing World Cup in the backyard, I felt like I was part of a team long before I ever played competitively. I loved being part of something bigger than myself, a team that felt like a family. When I finally had the chance to play competitively, soccer became my whole world.
As I grew older, the game taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to push through challenges. It gave me friendships, confidence, and a sense of purpose. Even after my own playing days changed, the lessons stayed with me.
My first experience with Bricks Soccer Club came right after I graduated from college. I was looking for opportunities to get into coaching, and I found a chance to work with the U12 boys team. I quickly saw the impact Bricks had on our community and how much it meant to the players and their families.
I married my wife Kate in 2024, and we welcomed our son Augustine in 2025. Becoming a husband and father pushed me to think about how I could make a bigger impact beyond coaching. In 2025, I was named Director of Bricks, and I now run the day to day operations of the club.
Today, I am proud to help lead Bricks Soccer and give the next generation the same opportunities that shaped my life.
My goal is simple. I want every child who joins Bricks to feel the same joy, growth, and connection that soccer gave me when I was young.
